Before You Pack

Good to Know

Arriving

We recommend arriving at least one day before the trip begins. Most guests fly into Valencia Airport (VLC) or arrive by train to Valencia Joaquín Sorolla station. Your trip leader will share a welcome message with the exact meeting point 48 hours before departure.

Departing

All trips depart from Valencia. The exact departure point is confirmed via the group WhatsApp 48 hours before. If you have onward travel connections on the final day, we recommend booking flights in the evening to allow plenty of buffer.

Weather

The Valencian region enjoys a Mediterranean climate year-round — warm summers, mild winters. We always send destination-specific packing notes before your trip. Comfortable walking shoes and light layers for evenings are universally recommended.

Accommodation

Stays are curated to BTC's premium standard — boutique hotels, design properties, and locally owned guesthouses with real character. Room types and specific properties are shared in your full trip brief. Single supplements available on request.

Dietary

Food is central to the BTC experience. Please share any dietary requirements at booking — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-aware options are all accommodated with advance notice. We do not leave anyone behind at the table.

Passport & Visas

Most BTC trips take place within Spain and the Schengen area. EU passport holders travel freely. Non-EU guests are responsible for verifying visa requirements for their nationality before booking. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all participants.

Payment Plan

Who is this trip designed for?

BTC trips are designed for global citizens aged 40–74 based in Valencia who want to travel with like-minded people — socially, comfortably, and without the chaos of mass tourism. Women-Only trips are our lead format, with Mixed and Men-Only groups also available.

I'm traveling solo — can I still join?

Absolutely — in fact, most of our travelers join solo. That's the whole point. You arrive as an individual and leave as part of a community. Our small groups (max 15) make it easy to connect naturally from day one.

What's included in the price?

Every BTC trip includes curated accommodation, guided group experiences, selected meals, local transport during the trip, and a dedicated trip leader. The full inclusion list is detailed in your trip brief upon booking.

What's not included?

Flights or travel to the departure point, travel insurance, personal expenses, and meals not specified in the itinerary. We always send a clear "what's covered" breakdown before you book.

How small are the groups?

Maximum 15 guests per trip. We keep groups intentionally small so everyone knows each other by day one, conversations run deep, and restaurants don't dread us. This is the opposite of a group tour — it's a travel crew.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 30+ days before departure receive a full refund minus the deposit. Within 30 days, the deposit is non-refundable but we'll do our best to transfer your spot to a future trip. Full details in our cancellation policy.

Is travel insurance required?

We strongly recommend it for all travelers. For certain destinations or activity-heavy trips it may be required. If you don't have a policy we can point you toward options — just ask.

Are trips in English, Spanish, or both?

BTC is a bilingual community — our trips run comfortably in both English and Spanish. Most of our travelers are multilingual and mixing languages is part of the charm. No one gets left behind in translation.

How do I connect with the group before the trip?

Once your booking is confirmed you'll be added to a WhatsApp group with your fellow travelers and trip leader. It's where logistics, packing tips, and the first inside jokes happen — usually well before departure.
