General Booking & Travel Conditions
The contractual framework for booking trips with The Bougie Travel Club
Last updated: October 2026
These General Booking and Travel Conditions govern the contractual relationship between The Bougie Travel Club ("BTC", "we", "us") and the traveler ("you") for all trips, services, and packages offered through our website. These conditions incorporate by reference our Cancellation Policy, Insurance Policy, and where applicable, our Media Guidelines. Spanish is the legally reviewed source version; English is a faithful equivalent.
Your rights are protected under Directive (EU) 2015/2302 on Package Travel and Spanish Consumer Law (RDL 1/2007). These conditions apply to all bookings made from October 2026 until further notice. By submitting your booking request and completing payment, you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms. Receipt of payment does not constitute confirmation of departure — departure is confirmed separately once the minimum group size for your trip is reached. A record of your agreement is kept on file.
BTC packages and sells group trips to travelers, but does not directly manage the underlying hotel, tour, transport, guide or other travel services. BTC acts as the retail travel agency and, depending on the product, may act as organizer, retailer/intermediary, or seller of a single travel service. For each trip, the specific role is stated on the trip page. BTC does not assume the role of organizer for trips where it acts solely as an intermediary. The actual suppliers (hotels, DMCs, transport operators, guides, airlines) vary per trip and are recorded internally for contracting, privacy and operational purposes; supplier identities and details that are legally required or material to the offer are published on the relevant trip page.
Trips may be classified as: (1) Package Travel — where BTC arranges a combination of travel services (accommodation, transport, activities) as a single unit at an inclusive price; (2) Linked Travel Arrangement (LTA) — where individual services are purchased separately but linked; (3) Single Travel Service — where only one service is provided. The classification affects your statutory rights under EU Directive 2015/2302. Each trip page states its classification. The correct statutory pre-contract information form (Annex II for packages, Annex III for linked travel arrangements) is presented before you are bound by the booking.
Your booking request does not constitute a binding contract until confirmed by BTC. When you "Request to Reserve" a spot with €0, you express interest without payment obligation. Once the trip reaches minimum confirmed travelers, BTC notifies you to pay your deposit. The contract is formed when BTC receives your deposit payment and sends a booking confirmation. You have a 72-hour window to pay the deposit after notification; if not received, the reservation is released.
The total price is stated in Euros (€) and includes all applicable taxes. The price covers accommodation, meals, transfers, activities, and insurance as specified on the trip page. Flights to the Spanish departure airport are not included. BTC may adjust prices for fuel, taxes, or exchange rate changes per EU Package Travel Directive rules: no increase within 20 days of departure; increases over 8% allow you to cancel without penalty; price reductions are passed through symmetrically.
A 30% deposit per person secures your spot once the departure is confirmed (minimum group size as stated on your trip page). Once the departure reaches its minimum confirmed travelers, BTC notifies you to pay your 30% deposit; you have a 72-hour window to pay it, after which the reservation is released. The remaining balance is due per the schedule shown on your trip page. All prices are in Euros (€) and include all applicable taxes. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card and bank transfer; any processor-specific restrictions are shown at checkout before payment.
Your deposit must be paid within 72 hours of confirmation notification — failure to pay within this window releases your reservation to the next traveler. If the balance is not received by its due date, The Bougie Travel Club may treat the booking as cancelled and applicable cancellation charges will apply.
BTC may revise the trip price due to changes in fuel costs, taxes, or exchange rates, in accordance with EU law. No price increase may be made within 20 days of departure. If any increase exceeds 8% of the total trip price, you have the right to cancel without penalty and receive a full refund within 14 calendar days.
You may cancel at any time by notifying us in writing at terms@bougietravelclub.com or via WhatsApp. Cancellation charges are calculated on an actual-cost basis — not a fixed percentage. We will provide a full written calculation on request. You may cancel free of charge if the price has increased by more than 8%.
If a departure does not reach its minimum group size (as stated on your trip page), BTC will notify you no later than: 20 calendar days before departure for trips over 6 days; 7 calendar days for trips of 2–6 days; 48 hours for trips under 2 days. You will receive a full refund of all amounts paid within 14 calendar days — regardless of how close to the departure date the cancellation occurs. You have the explicit right to reject any voucher offered and opt for a full cash refund instead. Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your payment to a future departure.
If BTC must make a significant change to your trip (e.g., change of destination, dates, or price increase over 8%), we will notify you as soon as possible. You may accept the alternative, or cancel without penalty and receive a full refund within 14 calendar days.
You are responsible for: ensuring your passport, visa, and entry requirements are met; providing accurate personal information at booking; disclosing dietary, allergy, health, and accessibility needs; arriving at meeting points on time; complying with supplier and destination rules; and maintaining appropriate behavior. BTC is responsible for providing agreed travel information, assistance during the trip, and fulfilling contractual obligations.
BTC accommodates dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, and special requests where possible. Please notify us at the time of booking. While we strive to meet all requests, some may depend on supplier availability and cannot be guaranteed. Accessibility information is provided on each trip page where applicable.
For package trips, you may transfer your contract to another eligible traveler who meets the trip requirements. Notice must be given through a durable medium at least 7 calendar days before departure. BTC charges only actual and reasonable costs caused by the transfer, without markup, and will provide evidence on request. The transferring traveler and the replacement traveler are jointly responsible for the unpaid balance and justified transfer costs. For single travel services, the relevant supplier conditions and mandatory consumer law apply.
BTC provides assistance throughout your trip via our bilingual host team. If you experience issues during your trip, contact your host immediately. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within a reasonable time. BTC acknowledges complaints within 24 hours and aims to respond substantively within 15 days per Spanish consumer law. For unresolved complaints, you may contact the Junta Arbitral de Consumo (Spain's consumer arbitration service) or your local European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/ecc.

These conditions are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Valencia, Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights applicable in the consumer's country of habitual residence when BTC directs activity to that country under Rome I Regulation (EC) 593/2008.
These Booking Conditions incorporate by reference: (1) Cancellation Policy; (2) Insurance Policy; (3) Media Guidelines where contractually relevant; (4) Traveler Pledge. Privacy and Cookie Policies remain standalone documents. In case of conflict, the more favorable mandatory consumer rule prevails.
