Reviews & Testimonials Policy

A "verified traveler" review is one written by a person who has completed a BTC trip. We verify booking status by cross-referencing the reviewer's name and email with our booking records. Only travelers who have actually participated in a trip may submit a review for that trip.

BTC does not pay for reviews. We may offer a small incentive (e.g., a discount on a future trip) for submitting a review, but the incentive is unconditional — the traveler receives it regardless of whether the review is positive, negative, or neutral. Any incentive is disclosed alongside the review.

Negative reviews are treated by the same criteria as positive reviews. We do not suppress, hide, or remove negative reviews unless they violate our content guidelines (defamation, personal attacks, fabricated claims, or irrelevant content). BTC may respond publicly to reviews to provide context or resolution.

BTC may translate reviews for display in both English and Spanish. We do not edit the substantive content or meaning of reviews. Minor formatting adjustments may be made for readability. Any translation is clearly labeled as a translation.

Reviews must not contain: defamatory or libelous statements; personal attacks on BTC staff, guides, or other travelers; fabricated or false claims; promotional content for other businesses; confidential information (booking IDs, room numbers, personal data); or content that violates applicable law.

All reviews are moderated before publication. Reviews that violate our content guidelines are rejected or removed. BTC reserves the right to remove reviews at any time if they are found to violate these guidelines. Travelers may request removal of their own review at any time.

BTC does not fabricate, purchase, or incentivize the creation of fake reviews. We do not work with third parties to generate artificial reviews. All reviews displayed on our website are from actual travelers who have participated in BTC trips.

If your review is removed, you will be notified by email with the reason. You may appeal the decision by contacting us. If you believe a review about you (as a named individual) is defamatory or violates your rights, you may request its removal through our complaints channel.
